The last 5 matches of the first game day of The International 2022 group stage have ended. The best of the best continue to fight for the title of Dota 2 world champion and the largest prize pool of the year. Earlier we already wrote about the sensational defeat of PSG.LGD and the offensive draw by Team Spirit. Below are the results of the matches of the 5th stream.

Evil Geniuses vs OG

On the first map of 44 minutes, the initiative passed from time to time to each of the participants. After the 45th minute, Evil Geniuses win a series of fights and gain the upper hand with a score of 38:26.

The two-time world champions couldn't get together on the second map and after the starting 5 minutes of the game they were systematically losing the map. In 24 minutes, Arteezy and the teams forced their young rivals to write “gg” in the chat. The result on the map is 34:5. Yuragi and Misha didn't get a single kill, and Nightfall finished with clean stats, namely 7-0-15. Unexpected defeat from OG.

PSG.LGD vs Soniqs

PSG.LGD needed to cover the loss from Evil Geniuses. And on the first map they did it. In 36 minutes of not the most active game, the eminent Chinese club outplayed Soniqs with a score of 18:16.

On the second map, things didn't go according to PSG.LGD's plan. Death Prophet from LESLÃO ruined PSG.LGD's potential first win. The Chinese tried to resist for 25 minutes, but as a result, the American team crushed PSG.LGD with a score of 29:9 in 44 minutes and secured a draw.

Team Liquid vs BetBoom Team

BetBoom Team continued their losing streak at The International 2022. The Russian team lost to MATUMBAMAN and his teammates on two maps in a row, making a total of 21 kills. BetBoom Team almost immediately gave the initiative to the opponent, not being able to make a comeback into the game.

Royal Never Give Up vs BOOM Esports

Royal Never Give Up were favorites for this match before it started. As a result, the team partially confirmed this status. Both cards turned out to be extremely protracted. At the first BOOM, Esports outplayed the Chinese club, but after the 40th minute, RNG won a series of fights, returned to the game and prevailed with a score of 28:19.

The second map was relatively passive and lasted an impressive 70 minutes. The teams could not determine the leader until the very end. As a result, Royal Never Give Up doubled the score in the series and defeated the representatives of Southeast Asia.

Hokori vs. Gaimin Gladiators

Representatives of South America, Hokori signed a draw with Gaimin Gladiators. If on the first map Gardick and the team won with a score of 33:14 in 37 minutes, then Gaimin Gladiators won the second map with a crushing score of 54:12 in 44 minutes. Gardick and Thiolicor died 35 times in total.
