Large Trait Changes:

League of Legends Patch 14.1: Comprehensive Overview 2

When comparing the performance of traits like Big Shot (40/72/120) to the time-stacking requirement of 8-Bit (45/75/120), there's a noticeable disparity leaning towards the latter being somewhat underpowered. Despite this reality, the trait maintains a reasonable strength, thanks to its association with formidable champions like Caitlyn and Corki. To address this, we're injecting more power into the trait while redistributing some from its associated carries, aiming to prevent 8-Bit from becoming too dominant at 8/8-bit.

Presently, the strength of 5 EDM is overwhelming, with Jax standing out as the most potent representative. Specifically toning down the power of 5 EDM not only addresses this issue but also enables us to increase the overall trait potency at 3/4. Concurrently, adjustments will be made to other EDM champions as needed.

Higher Emo levels were somewhat disheartening, not aligning with the desired emotional impact. Going forward, ascending Emo breakpoints will result in more frequent casts, particularly benefiting vertical Emo Poppy and Vex. Meanwhile, Annie will receive additional adjustments to ensure overall balance.

The scaling of Executioner’s crit rate with enemy health, especially at 4 and 6, was unsatisfactory. To rectify this, they will now critically strike low-health enemies more frequently and with greater impact, allowing the vertical aspect of the trait to shine.

Heartsteel is undergoing a rework, accompanied by a slight nerf to the base trait, addressing its consistent performance. Introducing a new "Raise the Stakes" option replaces the automatic cash-out after four player combats. This risky alternative enables players to pursue massive cash-outs, but winning during this time incurs penalties.

Sentinel 6 is receiving a minor nerf, while 8 is undergoing more significant adjustments due to the increased availability of Emblems from new Portals.

Recognizing the near-impossibility of hitting Spellweaver 10, we're removing it as a Prismatic option and buffing accordingly. With the assistance of new Portals, reaching Spellweaver 9 should be a more achievable and rewarding goal.

Examining the underperforming Headliners, adjustments are being made with two nerfs to balance the enhancements to their base forms, particularly for Garen and Yasuo.

Gnar's Headliner ability, which involved an instantaneous transformation, led to a prompt jump into the enemy team and drew immediate focus. Introducing a delay in his jump is intended to avert this rapid focus, enabling carry Gnar compositions to prioritize offensive strategies more effectively.

Traits Overhaul:

League of Legends Patch 14.1: Comprehensive Overview 5

Prismatic traits boast incredible strength, a positive attribute considering their rarity. However, the introduction of new Portals has diminished their scarcity, prompting a need to reduce their potency while still maintaining a formidable impact.

As Country transitions into a craftable Emblem, adjustments are made to the Dreadsteed's (Hecarim) base resistances:

  • Country bonus Armor & MR for Hecarim: 0/20/60 ⇒ 0/15/50
  • K/DA bonus max HP & AP/AD: 10/15/22/50 ⇒ 9/15/24/40
  • Pentakill 10 - Bonus Damage: 110% ⇒ 99%
  • Superfan Ziggs Item: Archangel’s Staff ⇒ Spear of Shojin
  • True Damage 9 - Bonus True Damage: 125% ⇒ 99%

Moving to Tier 1 units, in response to 8-Bit's Gr8-Bit moment, a slight compensatory nerf is applied to Corki:

  • Corki Blown to 8 Bits AD%: 320% ⇒ 300%
  • Evelynn Whiplash AS on cast: 120% ⇒ 150%
  • K’Sante Block the Haters base Damage Reduction: 30% ⇒ 25%
  • Lillia Mana buff: 70/140 ⇒ 70/130

For Tier 2 units, Twitch's efficacy in specific Augment-dependent compositions prompts adjustments, enhancing his power in the Punk reroll comp through improved AD scaling:

  • Pantheon Too Tough To Kill Damage Reduction AP: 15% ⇒ 20%
  • Twitch Bottled Anarchy AD: 225% ⇒ 250%
  • Twitch Bottled Anarchy secondary shard explosions: 6 ⇒ 4

Tier 3 unit changes feature a pristine Lulu buff and enhancements for other champions:

  • Lulu Tastes like Glitter primary Damage: 240/360/575 ⇒ 250/375/600
  • Miss Fortune Double Time AD%: 270/270/275% ⇒ 280/280/290%
  • Neeko Cosplay Shield from Ally HP ratio: 5% ⇒ 6%

In Tier 4 units, Caitlyn adapts to the increased AD from 8-Bit, and adjustments are made to Poppy's healing ability:

  • Caitlyn Champ Hunt AD%: 390/390/800% ⇒ 360/360/750%
  • Caitlyn Champ AP: 25/40/120 ⇒ 40/60/200
  • Poppy Hammer Time Heal per Hit: 6% ⇒ 5% of max HP
  • Thresh HP: 1000 ⇒ 1050

These alterations aim to balance and refine the gameplay experience based on comprehensive data, feedback, and observations from the Ranked Ladder.

Bug Fixes:

  • Endlessly Hoarding: Endless Hordes will no longer delete items from Training Dummies.
  • Fixed a bug where Karthus could target untargetable objects (like Zed clones)
  • Craftable Emblems will no longer roll into abyssal masks from Pandora’s Items or Reforgers in Double up.

This detailed update aims to provide players with a more balanced, engaging, and diverse gameplay experience. Embrace the changes, explore new strategies, and contribute feedback for the continuous improvement of the game.
