ESL One Malaysia 2022: OG Earn Championship With Easy Three Map Win
ІлляThe long-awaited Grand Final of ESL One Malaysia 2022 has arrived. We have been watching interesting matches together for a whole week, and today it's time for the last of them. The two-time champions of The International - OG made their way through the loser for most of the tournament, and the Chinese underdogs from Team Aster felt great in the upper bracket.
The first map started with a FB for OG, to which the opponents were able to respond only at the 7th minute. The mid game was also calm, the teams had almost no fights, occasionally exchanging kills. The first major skirmish happened at 28 minutes near Roshan, thanks to excellent ultimates from Mars and Shadow Fiend, OG took four opponents in return without giving up a single hero. As a result of the fight, Misha and the team took the gold lead by 10k and took the Aegis. After that, the Chinese tried to comeback, defending their barracks twice, they corrected the situation a bit on gold, but played too much. Thanks to the exit in smokes, OG caught the opponents and finished the match in the 46th minute with a score of 20-16.
The second map started more dynamically, FB was made by Aster players, to which OG responded with two kills. Compared to the previous map, in this one, the teams focused on fights, and most often they ended with the victory of the European team. The mid game didn't differ at all from the initial stage, the advantage in fights was completely for OG thanks to the Mars arena. The fight was decisive at 44 minutes, as a result of which Misha and the team took the Aegis and ended the match with a score of 44-33.
The last map started with FB for the Chinese team, and this time, the initial stage was completely behind them. In the mid game, problems have already begun, despite the peak of Tiny + Mars, Aster players felt worse in mass fights, as a result of which they gave away Aegis and a couple of T2 towers. The skirmish at the 36th minute became decisive, despite all the efforts of the Chinese, they could not cope with the pressure of OG. The match ended at 40 minutes with a score of 36-18.
Following the results of the last match, Team Aster finished the tournament as silver medalists and earned $85,000. In turn, OG become champions of the tournament and earn the main prize of $175,000.
