CS:GO 2023 Major: esport meeting in Paris
More about tournaments:

This is it, the event is starting! France is currently the scene of the CS:GO Major tournament, orchestrated by Blast. It will be held from May 8 to May 21, 2023. This is a great first for the hexagon, which receives this year one of the most important esport competitions. Zoom on the event.

How the CS:GO Major 2023 will unfold

The 2023 Major event will be held at the Accor Hotel Arena in Paris, an illustrious establishment that consists of a large concert and sports complex. Thanks to the modernity of the venue, the competition will be held in optimal playing conditions. More than 20,000 spectators will be able to watch this grandiose event live.

The tournament will last 15 days. A total of 24 teams from all over the world will compete for the chance to win the huge Major 2023 prize. The rules of play are very similar to those of online competitions. If you have ever participated in an online casino tournament in Belgium, this world will be no stranger to you.

The competition itself is divided into three phases, starting with the Challengers phase, which runs from May 8th to 11th. 16 teams will compete and 8 of them will be eliminated from the tournament. This is followed by the Legends phase, which will be held between 13 and 16 May. The first two stages will be subject to the Swiss system. 8 teams will advance to the Champions Stage.

Finally, the competitors will attend the Champions Stage. This will take the form of a direct qualification. Teams that lose will be directly eliminated. The final stage will be held on 21 May 2023.

RMR Preliminaries before the Major in Paris

For those who do not know yet, before being able to take part in the Major 2023, competitors must go through the qualification stages before the tournament. These are called the RMR or Regional Major Ranking. This time, the RMRs have been divided into four groups, and took place from 4 April to 14 April 2023.

There will be the European CMA A, the European CMA B, the American CMA and the Asia-Pacific CMA. All of these qualifying rounds are very important, as they can sometimes lead to a direct place in the Legends Phase. Some teams will then have the chance to skip the Challengers stage

CS:GO or Counter-Strike Global Offensive: what is it?

Counter-Strike is a series of video games created by the publisher Valve. It consists of a shooting game between two teams. They must orchestrate a terrorist attack or stop the attack.

In 2012, the CS:GO or Counter-Strike Global Offensive version was released. In this series, all players will have to take on the role of a character. All players will have to go through war sites. As the game progresses, they will have to obtain weapons and then load them up in order not to be killed or injured. Once killed, the player is removed from the game.

Rewards and prizes in sight for tournament winners

At the 2023 CS:CO Major, a staggering $1.25 million will be up for grabs. In addition to this prize pool, the winners of the competition will also be able to earn points that they will collect for the next season's Blast Premier table.

And that's not all, as the organisers are promising several other prizes to the winners. These include a trip to the Blast Premier World Final 2023. In addition to this, a trip to the IEM in Cologne will also be available.

For more than twenty years, Counter-Strike has held its place as one of the most iconic first-person shooter games globally, drawing gamers into its competitive gameplay and team-based missions. As the game's popularity remains steadfast, players are increasingly turning to the best CS2 trading sites to meet their in-game item needs. These platforms provide a safe and efficient environment for trading, buying, and selling in-game items, ensuring that Counter-Strike enthusiasts can make the most of their gaming adventures.
