The FIFA ePremier League Invitational
Yuriy SheremetRight now football may be cancelled, but that doesn’t mean there’s a lack of action on. eSports still provides sports fans and fans of sports betting a great opportunity to enjoy some fast-paced actions. If you’re a fan of football, then you’ll probably be familiar with FIFA. The game is massively popular around the world and is one of the biggest eSports.
What Are eSports?
eSports are any form of organised competition involving video games. While they may not be considered a sport by many, they are rapidly gaining popularity around the world. With a global shutdown in effect and many sports postponed or cancelled, eSports give sports fans something to watch and enjoy in the meantime.
If you’re interested in betting, many online bookmakers also offer odds on eSports events. Check out Esports best betting sites to make your bets. You can find plenty of markets available for most major eSports tournaments including events for Overwatch, Counterstrike, FIFA, Rainbow Six: Siege and more.
Some of the biggest eSports events draw in millions of viewers from all over, and big tournaments can see players walking away with millions in prize money.
ePremier League and the ePremier League Invitational
The ePremier League has been postponed along with regular football, but FIFA is holding the eSports Battle for the Premier League as normal. The competition sees the best FIFA players competing across a league for big prizes and finishes on the 19th of April.
From the 20th of April, Premier League players themselves will be joining the action in the first-ever ePremier League invitational. This competition will see the best footballers in the league going head to head in a FIFA tournament. Players include the likes of Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling, Liverpool’s Trent Alexander Arnold, Crystal Palace’s Wilfred Zaha and many more.
Each player will be joining the knockout competition from the safety of their own homes and fans will be able to follow all the action on social media. The semi-finals and final of the competition will be hosted on Sky Sports live on the 25th of April, giving fans the opportunity to see who is crowned the ePL invitational champion. Fans from around the world will be able to watch too as many of the Premier League’s international partners will be showing the competition.
Once the draw of the competition is complete, you’ll be able to bet on it at any good online sportsbook. Most UK sites offer odds on the ePremier League and the eSports Battle, and you should be able to find a good range of markets at your bookmaker. If you’re struggling to find them, check with a more eSports friendly site, as although eSports are growing in popularity, some sites still don’t offer odds on events.
If you want to stay up to date with odds and how they change, you can check out all the updates of the event on social media and find odds trackers online. This way, you can know exactly which bets to make and have more success with your bets.
