The group stage matches of ESL Pro League Season 19 are underway. Slowly but surely, it's getting closer to the play-offs of this spring's titular championship. However, there is still plenty of time before the main stage starts.

Today we're talking about what's happening in Group C, and more specifically about the "middle" match of the tournament. The pair ENCE - Monte will play there today.

We will try to figure out which team will be stronger and will go to the next round, to the play-offs, and who will have to go to the last chance grid.

ENCE Form

We start the ENCE vs Monte match with an analysis of ENCE's form. In this match they will play as favourites with a minimum margin of victory: the odds are at 1.87.

Last season the team finished top-3 on CCT Central Europe Malta Vibes, top-4 on ESL Pro League Season 17, and also reached top-8 European RMR B - the qualifier for BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023. ENCE also played at the Major, but it was TOP-14, which is hardly a worthy result.

IEM Dallas 2023 turned out to be much more pleasant. ENCE looked quite cheerful throughout the event, which allowed them to defeat MOUZ in the grand finals with a score of 2-0. Just before IEM Cologne 2023 ESL Challenger Katowice was played, where in the grand final they had to defeat Vp with 1-2 score.

ENCE play in a stable roster for almost half a year. SunPayus and NertZ, who have a KDA of 1.12, are the headliners of the roster.

Thanks to their victory at IEM Dallas 2023 ENCE started Cologne from the group stage. The first opponent was the Poles from 9INE, who gave the Finns serious problems, but lost with a score of 1-2 and a series of dops on the decisive map.

The next match was a match against Fnatic. ENCE won both maps, leaving Fnatic no special chances.

In the match for the Grand Final ENCE played against Heroic. Being an outsider, the Finns took a very good approach to the match and shut down the top 1 team in the world with a score of 2-1 in a tough Bo3.

Next up was a match against Vitality and as a result a passage to the Grand Final of IEM Cologne 2023. ENCE was not enough for the title, G2 Esports were stronger.

After an offensive Cologne 2023 ENCE started Gamers8 on a high note. They defeated Liquid 2-0 in the first match of the tournament.

In the semi-final match they played against Cloud9. Again, the Finns closed the series with a score of 2-0, leaving little chance for the Americans.

Later ENCE beat Heroic again, and dry, and in the grand final Gamers8 faced Vitality. Again, ENCE failed to take the title, Ledgeiv with a 1-2 score.

ENCE's journey to ESL Pro League Season 18 ended at the semi-finals stage. The Finns Ledge and future tournament champions MOUZ lost with a score of 1-2.

They played at BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown, which they failed. At the tournament the Finns finished top 4, which is hardly a serious result considering the level of the championship and the teams that played there.

ENCE also played at IEM Sydney 2023 - the first major tournament in CS2. There they managed to reach the play-offs of the championship, but in the first match of the main stage Ledge and FaZe Clan, who later became the champions of the tournament.

Later was CS Asia Championship 2023, where ENCE made it to the top 4. ENCE's record also includes Top 4 at Elisa Masters Espoo 2023 and Top 8 at BLAST Premier: World Final 2023. In 2024 they unsuccessfully tried to qualify for IEM Chengdu 2024, but failed in the qualifiers, falling out at the TOP-33/64 stage.

IEM Katowice 2024 ENCE started with an upset loss to BIG, but had a series of error-free matches: they defeated Astralis, MongolZ, Vitality (!) and G2 Esports (!), thus qualifying for the play-offs. They fell one game short of the quarter-finals of IEM Katowice 2024 against MOUZ.

Next was the performance at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024: European RMR B, where we took the top 8, which, however, was enough to pass to the main tournament. Before the performance at the Major, we attended the qualifiers for Dallas 2024, where we failed - TOP-8.

Very difficult is the game and at the PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major 2024, where Ence has 1 win with 2 defeats. And as a result, 2 defeats smoothly turned into 3 and, as a result, the departure from PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major 2024.

After the failure at the first CS2 World Championship ENCE played at Skyesports Masters 2024, where Ledge beat OG and took the top 8.

They started ESL Pro League Season 19 with a 0-2 defeat to GL. And they lost with absolutely no chance. Then ENCE met Bad News Kangaroos and there they were on the verge of failure, but managed to close the series with a score of 2-1 in their favour.

ENCE has two 100 per cent maps. They are Nuke, already used at IEM Cologne 2023 with 9 wins in 9 matches, and Anubis with 5 matches and 0 losses.

Still playing Ancient (66% wins in 3 matches). Still playing Mirage (9 matches, 4 wins). Vertigo with 2 wins and 3 losses and Overpass (2 wins in 7 matches).

Monte's form

We continue our match analysis with a breakdown of Monte's match form. In this match they will play as an outsider with odds to win at 1.93.

Before the Long Spring IEM Cologne 2023 had a series of unsuccessful tournaments. They finished top-16 at the next CCT, this time North Europe Series #5, and top-8 at the Elisa Invitational Spring 2023.

After a great run at BLAST.tv Major 2023, Monte left the headliner of that roster - BOROS - and was replaced by Astralis Talent member Danish br0.

Monte rolled out the roster at Play-In IEM Cologne 2023, where they defeated Brazilian teams twice: first Imperial 16-9 and then FURIA 2-1 in the series. Monte beat GamerLegion in the group stage, but were unable to face more serious opponents like Heroic. IEM Cologne 2023 ended with a match against Cloud9. Monte tried, but Ledgeilie more titled club with a score of 0-2.

Before ESL Pro League Season 18 played a number of local championships. Among them were CCT Series tournaments, where Monte finished in the top 4, and top 2 at CCT North Europe Series #7, and there was also Pinnacle Cup V, where the Ukrainian club again finished in the top 4.

In the debut match at ESL Pro League Season 18 they met with the Germans from BIG. As expected, the match was equal, especially on the first two maps, but the decisive match was very lopsided: 16-5 in favour of BIG and Monte fell to the lower grid.

In the first round of the lower grid Monte played with the nominally weakest participants of Basket B - Australians from Rooster. It looked like they were going to close with a 2-0 score, but it turned out that there was no need to be happy before the time, and Monte Ledge were on the first card, but then cameback, thus turning the series in their favour.

In the previous match Monte played against MIBR. As in all other matches on ESL Pro League, the game was tense and hard, but in the end the Brazilians triumphed.

Next, Monte managed to get through the last chance net. First they outplayed Heroic with a score of 1-2, and then took revenge on MIBR.

After a real success in the group, Monte made it to the first round of play-offs. There they showed a very serious level of play, defeating Fnatic, Complexity and then Vitality. They were beaten by NaVi, winning the semi-finals 2-0.

Before playing at Roobet Cup 2023, Monte played at IEM Sydney 2023, where they showed a pretty good, but not perfect, game. Monte finished the Sydney tournament at the top-8 stage.

Monte played their debut match at Roobet Cup 2023 against OG. They won 2-0, running over their opponents on class.

Monte qualified for the Roobet Cup 2023 play-offs after a solid win over NiP. The match, by the way, was very intense, although it ended 2-0, the two maps were a struggle: 13-11 Overpass, 16-14 Mirage.

In the quarter-finals Monte faced Movistar Riders. The Ukrainian club defeated their Spanish counterparts 2-0. Then there was another victory over Aurora, but in a more difficult match (2-1 in favour of Monte). But the Roobet Cup 2023 grand final was not enough. Monte met Vp, gave a fight, but lost with a score of 1-2.

In parallel with the game at Roobet Cup 2023 Monte played at Thunderpick World Championship 2023, where at the time of writing this betting thread they were waiting for their semi-final opponent.

In the first High Group match at ESL Challenger Season 46, the team played against a tough French ѕtask Looking4Org. So tough that those won with a score of 2-1.

In the last match of the group stage Monte faced SINNERS Esports. Being the clear favourite to win, the Ukrainian club lost to the Czechs somehow toothlessly, thus sending themselves to the first round of the lower net. As a result, Monte withdrew from the tournament due to a busy schedule.

Next, the club had a very good Challenger in Atlanta, where they managed to reach the top 4, failed IEM Katowice 2024 with the final top 12 and won the RES Eastern European Masters: Spring 2024 with the subsequent entry to the Spring Showdown from BLAST.

At PGL Major Copenhagen 2024: European RMR B started with a loss to ECSTATIC, then beat NEXUS and then Ledge and Apeks. It all ended with a loss to Astralis.

Monte then finished in the Top 12 at RES European Series #1 and Top 8 at BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2024. After that, Monte was supposed to play at IEM China 2024, but didn't make it there due to travel problems. They managed to go to Global Esports Tour Rio de Janeiro 2024, where the Ukrainian club failed to show the game: TOP-8.

ESL Pro League Season 19 started with a 2-0 victory over forZe. In the match for the play-offs Monte met Liquid and although they fought valiantly, they failed to win.

Mapule Monte

Monte's best map is Ancient. Monte has 7 wins in 9 matches. However, Mirage can also be called a signature choice for the Ukrainian club: they played it 13 times and won 10 of them.

Things are not bad on Anubis, where Monte has 8 wins and 4 losses.

The worst is Vertigo. There Monte have a statistic of 2-4.
