Match Prediction: SK Gaming - Rogue | LoL
LEC Summer 2024 - Regular SeasonWelcome to EGamersWorld.
We continue our review of the opening day and first game week of LEC Summer 2024. The final split in 2024 will see 10 European clubs battle it out in the race to qualify for the LEC Finals 2024.
Among the contenders to get there are Rogue and SK Gaming. Both teams are, at best, mid-table contenders and that's why they need to put their best foot forward.
Let's find out who will be stronger in the match SK Gaming - Rogue and will pass to the next stage, and who will be defeated.
Let's go.
SK Gaming uniforms
We open the analysis of the match SK Gaming - Rogue with the analysis of SK Gaming form. In this match they will play as the favourite for the match.
The main achievement of SK Gaming last season was the debut winter LEC split. The team, being among the outsiders and previously ranked top 8 at LEC Spring and LEC Summer, managed not only to make it to the play-offs, but also to put up a serious fight against MAD Lions in the match for the top 3.
What followed was much worse. At LEC Spring 2023 SK Gaming were not so confident. This time they managed to pass the regular season and bo1 matches, but not the group stage. SK fell in the top 7.
- SKGaming roster: Irrelevent, Isma, Nisqy, Exakick, Doss.
At LEC Summer 2023 SK Gaming almost repeated the spring result, with a slight improvement. They took the top 6, but thanks to the top 4 at LEC Winter 2023 they still reached the regional finals.
However, SK Gaming's achievements ended at the LEC 2023 finals. There they played the only match against BDS and lost 0-3 without a chance.
SK Gaming passed the group stage of LEC Winter 2024 quite well. The team played the regular season with the score 5-4.
In the first round of play-offs SK Gaming met Vitality. After a disgusting season Vitality cameback, and so that they managed to reach the second round of the upper grid, and SK Gaming went to the lower grid. There, they faced Team Heretics in the first round and proved to be stronger, despite being nominal outsiders. However, SK Gaming's way out of the LEC Winter 2024 play-offs ended with a second round play-offs match against Fnatic.
LEC Spring 2024 play-offs were reached by chance and thanks to character. To get to the main stage they had to win a tiebreaker against Rogue. In the first match of the play-offs SK gave a good fight to Vitality, taking away their card, but unfortunately for them it didn't help them to win. Similar situation was in the match against Heretics, which led SK Gaming to the top 8.
SK Gaming's most popular champions
The top SK Gaming picks were Gnar (2 games, 1 win), KSante (1 game, 0 wins), Camile (1 game, 1 win), Sion (1 game, 1 win), Renekton (1 game, 1 win).
Sejuani and Eliza are honoured in the forest. Both champions have appeared twice each and won both matches, but Vi and Kindred have lost their games.
The centre line performs on Sylas (2 matches, 50% wins), Kassadin (1 time, 0 wins), Azir, Syndra and Akali (1 game each and 100% wins).
From shooters - Zeri. The character appeared 3 times and won 2 matches, besides Varus (who lost the only match), Sivir and Lucian.
Karma, who has had enough of Karma, as well as Renata Glasc and Lulu. Yummi won two matches out of 3, Karma lost the only game, and Renata Glasc and Lulu won.
Rogue's form
We continue our breakdown of the Rogue vs SK Gaming match with an analysis of Rogue's match form. In this match they will play as an outsider.
Rogue had a very interesting position at LEC Winter 2024. The fact is that the team missed the entire 2023 and only returned to the competitive League of Legends on the eve of 2024. This is, in principle, a very logical decision, because in 2022 Rogue showed high results.
First, they proved themselves at LEC Spring 2022, reaching the Grand Final of the Spring Split. Then G2 stepped in and prevented Rogue from ending the season with a triumph.
However, fortune proved favourable in the next European league. At LEC Summer 2022, Rogue finished top-3 in the group stage, and then played a pretty tough play-offs: a 3-2 win over MAD Lions, a 0-3 loss to G2, a small final win over Fnatic, and finally an undisputed championship with a 3-0 win over G2.
Rogue visited Worlds 2022 in October the season before last. They were not expected to make it to Worlds 2022, but Rogue exceeded many expectations by making it to the play-offs. At the end of the tournament, the team finished in the top 8, which is an absolute success for European residents.
- Rogue line-up: Szygenda, Markoon, Larssen, Comp, Zoelys.
In the new season the core of Koi plays for Rogue, which is quite logical, because the club absorbed the slot of the Spanish organisation.
In the first match, Rogue will meet SK Gaming. I expect a win in the first match for the "new" team within the LEC. Next - the game against Heretics and here it will not be easier than in the match with SK: "Heretics" look good, and their roster is probably one of the most combative in the new LEC. In the end Rogue Ledge and Heretics beat G2 Esports, who are considered to be the main favourites for the tournament, but then lost to SK Gaming.
The first week Rogue went 1-2, which is not good, but not critical. But things got much worse, which led Rogue to a 2-6 statistic before Long Sogpeg's final match. And they lost that one, thus finishing in the top 9.
LEC Spring 2024 Rogue failed. Just like at LEC Winter 2024, the team did not make it out of the group stage, finishing in the top 9.
Rogue's most popular champions
Ornn (4 matches, 25% wins), Gangplank (4 matches, 100% wins), Gnar (4 games, 50% wins), and Gwen (4 matches, 50% wins) were equally weaponised at the top.
Wukong (4 matches, 75% wins), Vi (3 games, 33% wins), Trundle (3 matches, 33% wins) played in the forest.
Azir (6 matches, 66% wins), Taliyah (4 games, 25% wins) played on the centre.
ADC position was closed with Kalista (5 matches, 40% of wins), Ezrael (3 matches, 66% of wins), Sivir (3 matches, 66% of wins).
Renata Glasc (3 games, 33% wins), Rakan (3 matches, 100% wins), Nami (2 matches, 100% wins) were selected for the tournament.

SK and Rogue have played each other three times in 2024 and SK won twice.
Predicted result of the match SK Gaming - Rogue at LEC Summer 2024
In this match I expect a solid performance from SK Gaming. Rogue did not show the game during the two splits and, in my opinion, nothing will change at LEC Summer 2024.
Bottom line: SK Gaming wins.
