LEC Summer 2023
LEC Summer 2023 is the third and final split of the 13th competitive season in the European division. The first summer split in LEC history.
The LEC Summer 2023 tournament will be the final leg of the professional League of Legends in Europe before the LEC Finals 2023. The tournament will be contested by 10 partner teams and all group stage and play-offs of the championship will take place at the Riot headquarters in Berlin.
At stake is not only the title of Europe's strongest team in summer 2023, but also quite tangible prizes such as cash prizes and places in major championships. The LEC Summer 2023 prize fund will be $86,542.

LEC Summer 2023 highlights
LEC Summer 2023 (full name LoL EMEA Championship Summer 2023) is the 10th tournament under the LEC umbrella. The final split of the season will begin on 17th June and run until 30th July.
The venue for LEC Summer 2023 remains the Berlin headquarters of Riot Games, better known as LEC Studio.
At the start of the year, Riot slightly changed the LEC structure, adding a few outside leagues to the European division, but some things have remained the same. Among the changes is the number of regional splits. The same teams will play in LEC Summer 2023 as in the previous rounds.

All competitors have retained their places after participating in LEC Spring 2023. The teams will have a month and a half to play for ~85,000 euros and a place at the LEC Finals 2023.
The LEC Summer 2023 champion will earn €40,000 and the aforementioned trip to the Global Finals, a place in the MSI 2023 play-offs as well as 120 Championship Points. The 2nd ranked team wins the top prize with 25,000 euro and 100 points, the 3rd ranked team wins 10,000 euro and 80 points and the team in the bottom four wins 5,000 euro and 60 points.
The sixth to tenth places teams will get 50 to 5 points and they will retain their places at LEC Summer 2023.
Format of the LEC Summer 2023
The LEC Summer 2023 tournament will be played in three rounds. First, 10 teams will play in the group stage (regular season), followed by the group stage and will close out the spring split play-offs LEC Summer 2023.
The regular season will last 3 weeks. The 10 teams will play in Single Round Robin with bo1 matches. There are 8 teams in the group stage.
The group stage will last a few weeks. The 8 teams are divided into 2 groups and will play in a GSL format. The top 2 teams from each quartet qualify for the play-offs.
The play-offs will be played in a Page-Mclnyte (Double-Elimination) format from the second round. All matches will be played in a bo5 format.

All LEC Summer 2023 matches will be broadcast directly by Riot Games. The company will broadcast all Summer Split games and is also responsible for the tournament production. The official language of the broadcast is English and the channels are Twitch and YouTube.
