RLCS 2022-23 - World Championship is the final tournament of the Rocket League's 2023 competition season, taking place in August. The biggest event will take place in a LAN format and will offer a prize pool of 2,100,000.
RLCS 2022-23 - World Championship will feature teams from 7 competitive regions: EU, NA, OCE, SAM, APAC, MENA and SSA. We expect 16 teams in total.
The winner of the tournament will take home $600,000, the silver medalist $200,000, and the top 3-4 will each receive $200,000.

RLCS 2022-23 - World Championship highlights
RLCS 2022-23 - World Championship is the climax of the Rocket League competition season. The championship follows a series of three major tournaments: RLCS 2022-23: Fall Major, RLCS 2022-23: Winter Major and RLCS 2022-23: Spring Major.
The tournament will bring together 16 participants from all over the world. The biggest LAN championship of the year will be played by 7 regions: EU, NA, OCE, SAM, APAC, MENA and SSA.
The number of slots distributed at RLCS 2022-23 - World Championship depends on the overall performance of the teams in the regions. The most numerous regions are Europe and North America.

- Oceania, South America, Middle East and North Africa, Pacific, SSA - 2 slots.
In addition, 8 teams qualify for the World Regions Spot Championships. These participants will bypass the qualifying stage of the RLCS 2022-23 - World Championship tournament and directly qualify for the group stage.
The teams will be fielded over a period of 11 days. The world championship, the fastest discipline, takes place from 4 to 13 August.
Format of RLCS 2022-23 - World Championship
As befits a tournament of this level, RLCS 2022-23 - World Championship is held in several stages. The World Championship is divided into 3 stages: Wildcard, Group Stage and Playoffs.
The qualifying round, also known as the Wildcard, is played according to the "Swiss system". The 16 teams play five rounds of the "Swiss Watch" system with 7-a-side matches and 8 teams advance to the next stage.
The RLCS 2022-23 - World Championship group stage is played by 16 teams. The eight teams from the Wilrdcard round are joined by eight teams from the World Regions Spot who have qualified for the group stage.
The group stage matches are played in a Double-Elimination Bracket system: The 16 teams are divided into two groups of 8 participants. The matches are played until 4 wins (bo7), then 8 teams get qualified.
RLCS 2022-23 - World Championship playoffs are played as Single-Elimination. All matches including Grand Final will be decided by BO7.
