LCS Summer 2023 is the 11th tournament of the professional season in North America and the second and final LCS split in North America. The 2023 Summer Championship will take place on the home stage, at the Riot Games LCS Studio headquarters, as well as visiting NRG Stadium in Los Angeles,
The Summer Championship was due to start on June 15 and run until August 20, 2023, but due to the scandals surrounding the NACL (North American academic season) and the local players' strike, the tournament has been postponed by 2 weeks and will start on June 29.

Highlights of LCS Summer 2023: Participants and prize pool
One of the oldest competitive leagues in professional football, the LCS Summer 2023 will be a classic showdown between North American teams. Teams will meet at the LCS Studio in Los Angeles for 8 weeks to select the 6 teams that will advance to the next round.
The Top 6 teams will visit NRG Stadium for the final split matches. Initially, 10 local LCS partner teams must play in the tournament.

- FlyQuest, Cloud9, Evil Geniuses, Golden Guardians, CLG, TSM, 100 Thieves, Team Liquid, Immortals, Dignitas.
However, the situation around the North American league may be changing rapidly. The original prize pool for LCS Summer 2023 was $200,000 and so far Riot have not announced any changes. Additionally, the top 3 teams in the Summer Split will advance to Worlds 2023 and the fourth LCS Summer 2023 team will advance to the Wildcard Qualifier for Worlds 2023.
The prize money is distributed as follows: 1st place - $100,000, 2nd place - $50,000, 3rd place will earn $30,000 and 4th place - $20,000. In addition to the cash prizes, the top two teams will go to London for MSI 2023.
Format of LCS Summer 2023
The LCS 2023 Spring Split will be held in two phases. First, the group stage will be played and then the championship play-offs.
In the group stage, the teams will play Double Round Robin for 8 weeks with bo1 matches. Each team will play 18 matches to determine the top 6 teams for the play-offs.
The main round is played with a Double Elimination format. The teams ranked 1st to 4th in the regular season will play in the semifinals. The top 5 and 6 will play in the first round of the play-offs.
All LCS Summer 2023 play-offs will be played in boo5 format.

The main channel for coverage will remain Riot Games. All Summer 2023 LCS matches will be streamed on Twitch and YouTube. The official language of the broadcast is English.
