Match schedule
The format:
Totally, eight teams will play in the championship, only one of which has received a direct invitation. The rest of participants have determined with a help of regional qualifiers in Europe, CIS, North and South America, Southeast Asia, China and Indonesia.
All eight participants will be divided into two groups, where they will play by the GSL system - teams will be put in a double-elimination bracket. The first matches will be played in a bo1 format and the next ones will be hosted in a bo3 format. None of the teams will be eliminated from the competition at the end of the group stage.
Rosters that hold the first places will advance right to the semi-finals, teams that stop on the second places will go to the quarterfinals and the rest teams will start their way from Round of 16. The playoff stage will be run in a single-elimination bracket with bo3 matches, including the grand final, however, matches of Round of 16 are scheduled in a bo1 format.
The prize pool:
The championship has received a “Minor” status, so the prize pool of the competition will amount $300,000 and 300 DPC points that will be distributed in the following way:
1st place: $110,000 + 150 DPC points
2nd place: $65,000 + 90 DPC points
3rd-4th place: $35,000 + 30 DPC points
5th-6th place: $17,500
7th-8th place: $10,000
The venue:
The showroom in Jakarta, Indonesia has been chosen as a venue. The building was opened in 2015 and is the largest showroom in the region. It is unknown how many seats will be there, however, the parking lot contains 5,000 cars.
